Economics Courses

Economics courses give students a broad understanding of economic behavior and an extensive knowledge of the financial sector. Economics is the backbone of many businesses because most people are in business to make a living (read: profit). A thorough understating of economic principles is vital to the success most companies.

Specific topics covered may include scarcity, substitution, opportunity cost, marginal analysis, gross domestic product, real and nominal magnitudes, and supply and demand. Economics courses will also likely cover the macroeconomic analysis of production, employment, the price level, and inflation, as well as the microeconomic analysis of pricing in competitive and noncompetitive markets.
